Nicola Peretto , born in 1992 in Aosta (Italy), is considered one of the brightest classical  saxophonists of his generation.  

He won 8 prizes during important international competitions as soloist, among others: 

-1st Prize of “Adolphe Sax" International Competition in l’Hay-les-Roses (Paris, 2016)  

-3st Prize of "Josip Nochta" International Competition (2017, Zagreb)  

-1st Prize of International Music Competition "Marco Fiorindo" in 2018, (Nichelino, Italy)  

-1st Prize and Special Prize at the "Classic Winds International Competition" in 2018 (Hamburg,  Germany).  

He played several times as a soloist with wind or string orchestra pieces like : Glazunov Concerto,  Divertimento by Boutry, Larsson Concerto, Concertino da camera by Jacques Ibert, Concertino by  Rueff . In January 2013 he made a live CD recording of “Rapsodie” by André Waignein during the  “ Concert du Nouvel An 2013” in Pont-Saint-Martin with Orchestre d’Harmonie du Val d’Aoste.  

For the opening concert of the International Music Competition "Marco Fiorindo" 2018, he was  invited to perform the "Orientale" concerto by Martin Loridan for 2 saxophones and wind orchestra  in Turin.  

He performed in different venues like Teatro Superga in Turin, Festival Saxena and Salle Cortot in  Paris and, during the “Eurasian Stars music festival” 2018 of Astana, he was invited as soloist with  the “Academy of soloists State Orchestra” conducted by Mischa Katz in the Kazakhstan Central  Concert Hall.  

As a member of symphonic orchestras he recently collaborates with Orchestra Sinfonica Verdi  (Milan) , Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova), Antwerp symphonic orchestra (Belgium), Orchestre  Philharmonique de Nice and Sinfonieorchester Aachen (Germany).  

Since 2017, he has been a member (tenor saxophone) of the Klassik4Sax quartet, performing concerts in  particular in Belgium and France (Festival des Minimes, Festival Chapel for Europe, concert in  Nadia Boulanger's house, etc). Klassik4sax was also invited to perform at the European Parliament  in Brussels for the prestigious ceremony of the election of the new President in april 2018.  

He was recently invited for giving Masterclass at "Conservatoire de la Vallée d'Aoste". He regularly  teaches in Italy for summer masterclass and he is currently the classical saxophone teacher at the  Antibes conservatory (France).  

He plays on Yamaha Custom EX saxophones and he is an artist officially sponsored by "Vandoren  Paris" since 2016. 

Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese

The Philharmonic Orchestra of Apulia (OFP from the Italian Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese), born in Molfetta (Bari) in 2013 and immediately sponsored by the Region, the only “Class A Instrumental Complex” recognized by the FUS in Puglia, has performed in the most important theaters and places of cultural interest in the cities of Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, Foggia and in the main municipalities of the BAT, crossing the regional borders to be particularly appreciated in April 2019 at the Teatro Argentina in Rome. The sparkling OFP team is permanently on the billboards of the major local Bodies and Foundations, sponsored by MIBACT: CIDIM (Italian National Music Committee), Pugliese Public Theater, Curci Culture and Music Association of Barletta, Camerata Musicale Salentina in Lecce (LE), Fondazione Nuovo Verdi Theater of Brindisi (BR), VM Foundation Valente di Molfetta (BA), Auditorium Association of Castellana Grotte (BA), Aldo Ciccolini Academy Foundation of Trani (BAT), “Nino Rota” Association of Brindisi; broadcast live concerts for RAICinema and the Italian Cultural Institute in Amsterdam and received the patronage of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia for the "Gran Galà Beethoven" project for the cycle of concertos for piano and orchestra composed by the genius of Bonn.

 

OFP has collaborated with renowned musicians as Giuseppe Gibboni, Corrado Giuffredi, Pierluigi Camicia, Maria Pia Piscitelli, Nicola Hansalik Samale, Pietro Brogonovo, Marco Misciagna, Alfonso Soldano, Evgeny Starodubstev, Fabrizio Dorsi, Giuseppe La Malfa, Roberto Corlianò, Francesco Defronzo, Sklodowsky Bartosz, Anna Geniushene, Mai Koshio, Stefania Argentieri, Leonardo Colafelice, but also with non-classical artists such as Ronn Moss, Stef Burns, Andrea Braido and Gianni Ciardo.

He already has 5 recordings to his credit, the last and most important, with soloists Giovanna Buccarella (cello) and Francesco Diodovich (guitar), Giovanni Minafra (director), for the prestigious Stradivarius label, Radio RAI went live during the program "Primo Movimento".

In August 2019 the OFP was the creator and protagonist of the “Sol dell’Alba” event, the most important concert at dawn, in terms of numbers and artistic quality, on the entire Italian East coast. Given the extraordinary success of the pilot edition, the “Sol dell’Alba” format, created in collaboration with MAG Communication, has reached its third edition and there is already great anticipation for that of 2022. The OFP makes use of the talented baton of Giovanni Minafra, permanent conductor of the orchestra since its foundation, and the artistic direction of Giacomo Piepoli.
